Pat suffered from PLS, a motor neuron disease, and recently lost her battle with this cruel disease. Knowing that the church is being decorated with flowers by the village, she requested that donations be made to the Motor Neurone Disease Association in her memory instead of any floral tributes. 

The MNDA were a wonderful help to Pat during her illness, providing both practical and emotional support, while also liaising with the NHS to ensure Pat was being cared for. They also fund major research in trying to find a cure for this unforgiving disease.
